Sarah's Art
Hannah's Art
I split my creative time between digital media and art produced by hand. It's a good balance that sometimes crosses over and both mediums are used to create a final piece.
I use the ipad and a fujutsu tablet for my photo- based digital pieces.
I struggle with the once removed aspect of digital art but as that doesn't stop me from pursuing it. I am inspired by the work of Laszlo Moholy-Nagy as well as anything Art Nouveau. I am fascinated with line.
I am working on pieces that focus on my place and the joy that ordinary life can produce. I say this with simple series of images that feature local scenes and uncomplicated still lifes.
My craft and design is a way to work out creative ideas . I like to repurpose things . I like to use items in ways that they were not intended to be used. I like to tinker.

I am working on a series of drawings incorporting maps of places I have traveled to or hope to visit. I am also working on paintings that feature animals.
A few years ago I started to use scrapbook paper and rubber stamps to create note cards. In the summer and fall of 2009 I found myself intrigued with creating interesting and beautiful note cards. We took our cards to a bazzar and they were very well recieved. I named my little card business Naples after the color, Naples Yellow.
